Questions already answered by our experts:

1) Zinc-carbon cells (primary batteries)

2) Alkaline cells (primary batteries)
Often used instead of zinc-carbon batteries. They are much better suited to be used in appliances with high power consumption. They have higher capacity, longer life and can work in a wider range of temperatures: from -30C to +70C.The cathode is made from manganese dioxide (MnO2) and the anode from zinc-oxide. The electrolyte (alkaline) is a liquid solution of potassium hydroxide.

USAGE: appliances with medium (100-300 mA) and high power consumption (>300), such as : Discmans, cameras, cordless telephones, electric shavers, electronic games, digital cameras, etc…

3) Silver oxide cells (primary batteries)

4) Mercury cells (primary batteries)

5) Lithium cells (primary batteries)

6) Zinc-air cells (primary batteries)

7) Lead-acid cells (rechargeable batteries)

8) Nickel-cadmium cells (rechargeable batteries)

9) Nickel-metal hydride cells (rechargeable cells)
